Glenn Phillips's fighting century put New Zealand in control against England in the 2nd Test at The Oval.

Lifting the Kiwis from their overnight score of 291/7, Phillips showed his attacking prowess. Adding a 70-plus stand with Kyle Jamieson, he propelled the visitors past 350.
