India’s Sejal Kamble was crowned the women’s 10m air pistol junior world champion, clinching the gold medal at the 2026 ISSF Junior World Championships in Suhl, Germany.
Kamble dominated the final with relative ease, finishing with 240.2 points – 4.4 points clear off the Bulgaria’s Maria Encheva Atanasova, who took the silver medal.
It was a double podium for India in the event as Himanshi bagged the bronze medal, shooting a total of 217.6. She lost out on the silver medal in a shoot-off after being level with Atanasova following the sixth elimination round.
Meanwhile, the other Indian in contention, Vanshika, finished just outside the podium in the fourth place with a score of 191.3.
Earlier in the day, Himanshi was the best performing Indian in the qualification round, finishing third overall with a score of 574.
Kamble (573) and Vanshika (572) had finished fourth and fifth respectively to qualify for the final.
