Party called a meeting in Delhi, Rebel MPs did not arrive
Meanwhile, following speculations about the disappearance of MPs, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leadership had called a parliamentary party meeting in the national capital today. However, after fewer MPs turned up for the meeting, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut and MP Arvind Sawant held a joint press conference.
Absent MPs will not be released easily – Sanjay Raut
Sanjay Raut expressed strong displeasure over the members not attending the meeting and said that they will not be released easily. He said, ‘The MPs who did not participate in this have violated the party whip. Therefore, action has been initiated against him. A show cause notice will be sent to them and a reply will be sought from them.
Raut again used abusive words for absent MPs
In a video shared by news agency ANI, Raut, while addressing the media, once again used abusive language for the MPs who did not attend the meeting. Apart from this, Raut made it clear that the party is considering canceling the membership of those members who did not attend the meeting.
Party is also considering canceling membership of absent MPs
He also said, ‘When we met the Speaker yesterday, a photograph of him became public. If the remaining six MPs have met the Speaker, then show his photograph… This is not called a strategy, but called cheating. He is still a member of our party and lives on our election symbol. If he has violated the party whip, he will have to face legal action.
During the press conference, Raut also targeted the BJP and criticized the ruling party, saying it has made the country’s politics dirty, especially in Maharashtra. This party will have to pay the price for its actions.
Non-existent MPs betrayed the party – Arvind Sawant
Shiv Sena UBT MP Arvind Sawant, who was present at the press conference, said about issuing show cause notices to the MPs who were absent from the meeting, ‘The absent MPs have betrayed the party. We are going to issue them a show cause notice. They will get the notice by evening. If they do not respond within seven days of receiving the notice, further action will be taken. We will also write a letter to the Speaker regarding these MPs.
