ITV has confirmed the line-up of commentators, analysts and presenters who will cover the World Cup clash between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Both Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina began their World Cup campaigns with draws — each conceding late goals, with Switzerland held by Qatar and Bosnia and Herzegovina sharing points with Canada.
Their Group B meeting at Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood is set to be crucial in determining their prospects of reaching the knockout stage. The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM UK time.
For viewers in the United Kingdom, live coverage will be available on ITV1 and ITVX. The broadcast will be hosted by Laura Woods from New York, accompanied by a distinguished panel of pundits comprising Patrick Vieira, Juan Mata and Karen Carney.
Patrick Vieira, one of France’s most decorated midfielders, captured 12 major honours during his career, including seven league titles. He was also an integral part of the French squads that triumphed at both the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2000.
Juan Mata, currently playing for Melbourne Victory, brings his vast international experience to the studio. The Spanish playmaker was part of Spain’s celebrated 'tiki-taka' era that delivered back-to-back major tournament victories between 2010 and 2012.
Karen Carney completes the ITV panel as a leading figure across both men’s and women’s football. With an impressive playing career at clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Birmingham City, Carney earned over 100 caps for England and represented her country in eight major tournaments before retiring in 2019.
Los Angeles Stadium, which previously hosted the United States’ opening Group D fixture — a 4-1 victory over Paraguay — will again provide the stage for this Group B showdown.
On commentary duties, Joe Speight will guide viewers through the action, supported by former Leeds United forward Lucy Ward, who will provide expert analysis. Ward, after her playing days, has been actively involved in player welfare at Elland Road, contributing to the development of talents such as James Milner, Fabian Delph and Kalvin Phillips.
