Bankhandi - Following the guidelines set by the Himachal Pradesh School Education Department, DAV Public School, Bankhandi hosted an awareness initiative as part of the Tobacco-Free Campaign.
During the event, students showcased their artistic talents by creating engaging and informative posters that illustrated the detrimental effects of tobacco use, encouraging the community to embrace a drug-free lifestyle. Their artwork communicated that tobacco not only poses health risks but also hinders the development of families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
The primary goal of the program was to foster a sense of duty among young individuals, advocating for the establishment of a healthy and tobacco-free community.
In his address, Principal Mr. Virender Sharma highlighted the importance of youth as the nation's future. He remarked, “If students commit today to avoiding tobacco and other dependencies, we can cultivate a healthy, informed, and empowered society.” He encouraged students to be self-aware and to educate their families and communities about the harmful effects of tobacco.
The event wrapped up with a united commitment to strive for a healthier and drug-free future.
