The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) declared the results for the CA Final May 2026 examination on June 18, 2026. Although the results were initially expected to be released in the evening, the Institute announced them ahead of schedule. Only 12 percent success in Group-1
A look at the results reveals a notably low success rate for Group 1. According to the ICAI, a total of 54,606 candidates appeared for the Group-1 exam. Of these, only 6,555 candidates managed to pass. Consequently, the pass percentage for Group-1 was recorded at 12 percent. Simply put, out of every 100 candidates, only 12 passed the Group-1 exam.

How did the Group-2 results fare?

Student performance in Group 2 was better compared to Group 1. A total of 42,573 candidates appeared for the Group-2 exam, with 8,725 candidates achieving success. The pass percentage for Group-2 stood at 20.49 percent, meaning that more than 20 out of every 100 candidates succeeded in this group.

What were the results for Group-I, Group-II, and both groups combined? In terms of statistics, a total of 54,606 candidates appeared for Group-I, out of which 6,555 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 12%. Meanwhile, 42,573 candidates took the exam for Group-II, with 8,725 succeeding; the pass percentage for this group was 20.49%, which was better than that of Group-I. Who topped this year?
In the CA Final May 2026 examination, Noor Singla from Patiala, Punjab, secured the All-India top rank. She obtained a total of 499 marks, achieving 83.17% to secure the first position nationwide. This achievement made her the CA Final topper for the year. Ritaj Saraf from Howrah, West Bengal, secured the second position in this examination. He obtained a total of 475 marks, achieving a percentage of 79.17%. Thanks to this outstanding performance, he secured All India Rank 2.

Sohan Anil Manjrekar Secured the Third Position
Sohan Anil Manjrekar secured the third position in this year's CA Final examination. He obtained a total of 473 marks, resulting in a percentage of 78.83%. Delivering an excellent performance, he also earned a spot among the country's top three candidates.

How to Check Your Result?
Candidates can view their results by visiting the official ICAI website. To do so, they must enter their registration number and roll number. After logging in, the result will appear on the screen; it can be downloaded and saved for future reference. The online marksheet will display the candidate's name, roll number, marks obtained in each subject, total marks, and pass/fail status.
