Real Madrid president Florentino Perez remains resolute in his pursuit of Bayern Munich star Michael Olise, even though the Bundesliga champions have made it abundantly clear that they are not open to any offers for the French forward.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Olise is considered one of the club’s top Galactico targets following a remarkable season in which he netted 22 goals and provided 31 assists across 57 matches.
The French international has further enhanced his reputation this summer with standout performances for Les Bleus at the World Cup, including registering two assists on his debut appearance.
Perez has publicly stated that he intends to bring in a major attacking reinforcement, and the 24-year-old Bayern winger fits that description perfectly.
During his presidential campaign, Perez promised to secure a marquee signing for the Santiago Bernabeu, with Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez initially tipped as the primary target.
However, Atletico Madrid swiftly ruled out any possibility of selling Alvarez, leading several insiders at Real Madrid to believe that Olise has always been Perez’s preferred long-term objective.
Since moving from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich, Olise has experienced a meteoric rise, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most dynamic attacking talents.
His dazzling performances have not gone unnoticed in Madrid, even as Bayern continue to take a firm stand regarding his future.
The German champions have reportedly informed all interested clubs that Olise is not available for transfer under any circumstances.
Bayern’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness, has reportedly indicated that the club would turn down any bids in the region of €200 million.
That staggering valuation has done little to discourage Real Madrid. Perez is said to be ready to challenge Bayern’s firm stance regardless of the cost.
Initial discussions have already taken place between Real Madrid officials, Bayern representatives, and the player’s entourage to determine if any opportunity might arise later in the transfer window.
The Spanish giants acknowledge that securing Olise’s signature would be an exceptionally challenging task, especially considering Bayern’s unwavering position and the player’s vital role under manager Vincent Kompany.
Nevertheless, Real Madrid are refusing to give up hope, with Perez firmly believing that the electrifying winger has the talent, charisma, and star quality to shine at the Santiago Bernabeu.
