Mumbai Weather LATEST Update: Maharashtra is witnessing contrasting weather conditions, with several districts likely to receive rain while others continue to battle intense heat. The IMD has issued alerts for both rainfall and heatwave conditions
Residents of Mumbai continue to experience hot and sticky weather despite the advancing monsoon season. According to the IMD, humid conditions are expected to persist across parts of the Konkan region, including Thane, Mumbai, Raigad and Ratnagiri.

However, relief may arrive in the form of afternoon rainfall. Light showers are also expected in Sindhudurg district, offering some respite from the prevailing heat and humidity.
Western Maharashtra is likely to witness improved weather conditions with light to moderate rainfall forecast in Pune city. Similar rain activity is expected across Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur districts.
Meanwhile, North Maharashtra could continue to face challenging weather. Isolated heatwave conditions are likely in Dhule, Jalgaon and Nashik districts, although some areas may also witness evening thunderstorms and moderate rainfall. Ahilyanagar is expected to receive light showers.
Heatwave Alerts Issued Across Marathwada and VidarbhaThe IMD has sounded a yellow heat alert for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna and Beed districts in the Marathwada region. At the same time, light rain is likely in Parbhani, Hingoli, Latur and Dharashiv.
In Vidarbha, heatwave conditions are expected in Akola, Amravati and Wardha. Yellow alerts have also been issued for Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Yavatmal and Wardha due to high temperatures. Some districts, including Nanded and Bhandara, may additionally experience isolated rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
