Amidst the rift in the party and ongoing legal investigation into old cases, Mamata joined the hawkers’ protest in Dharamtala. This demonstration of hawkers was against illegal eviction. BJP called it a flop show
BJP is taking a jibe at Mamata for joining the protests. Bengal BJP wrote in a post on its X handle, there was a time when TMC used to proudly share drone shots to show the huge crowd gathered in the protest march against Mamata Banerjee. BJP wrote that today they have to depend on close-up shots. That too in Dharamtala near New Market, which has been a den of illegal hawkers having TMC’s vote bank, yet Mamata’s rally flopped miserably.
