Vaibhav Sooryavanshi: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi remains in the news for his feud. Now, a veteran has made a significant statement, saying that if he were the coach or manager, he would have released Vaibhav from the team.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, playing for India A, is currently in the news not for his explosive batting, but for his aggressive attitude on the field after a match. Vaibhav got into a scuffle with Sri Lanka A players, which led to heated discussions. People began offering differing opinions about the altercation. Now, former India player Sanjay Manjrekar has surprised everyone with a major statement about Vaibhav.
Manjrekar stated clearly that if he were the team's coach or manager, he would have left Vaibhav Suryavanshi out for Wednesday's (June 17) match against Afghanistan. His statement was based on the 15-year-old's struggles.
Sharing the post on X, Sanjay Manjrekar wrote, "If I were the coach or manager of India A, I would have left Vaibhav Suryavanshi out for this match against Afghanistan. Just so that he knows that it is not okay to be physically aggressive on the field, no matter what the provocation."
Vaibhav's bat did not perform as expected.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in IPL 2026, has not been able to perform as expected for India A in the tri-series so far.
In the first match against Sri Lanka A, Vaibhav was dismissed for just 14 runs. In the second match against Afghanistan A, Vaibhav scored 44 runs, missing out on a half-century. In the third match against Sri Lanka A, he scored just 15 runs. In the fourth match against Afghanistan, Vaibhav returned to the pavilion after scoring 38 runs. Now it will be interesting to see when he scores his first half-century of the series.
It should be noted that Vaibhav has also been included in the senior Indian team. He is in the Indian squad for the T20 series against Ireland and England. Furthermore, Vaibhav has also been included in the Men in Blue's squad for the Asian Games.
