Tezzbuzz Desk – Filmmaker Karan Johar is once again in the headlines for his new project. This time he is entering Malayalam cinema through his production company Dharma Productions. His new film has been titled ‘Odiyan’, which was officially announced on June 16 through social media.
The film will be a pan India project, which will be released in five languages. It includes Malayalam as well as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages. Through this large-scale project, Karan Johar is going to establish his strong presence in the South Indian film industry.
Karan Johar has partnered with Prithviraj Sukumaran’s production company for this film. The special thing is that Prithviraj Sukumaran is not only the co-producer of this film, but will also be seen in the lead role in it. Along with him, popular Malayalam cinema actress Manju Warrier will also be seen playing an important role.
The film is directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who is known for his folklore-based horror and thriller films. It is being said that ‘Odiyan’ will also be based on a mysterious and folklore-based story, which will give a different kind of cinematic experience to the audience.
Announcing the film, Karan Johar said that this is his first step into the world of Malayalam cinema and he is very excited about this collaboration. He also said that work has been done on many projects with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the past and many such collaborations can be seen in future also.
At present, the release date of ‘Odiyan’ has not been announced, but the curiosity of the audience regarding its Pan India release has already increased. Due to its multi-language release and strong star cast, this film is going to be a big topic of discussion in the coming times.
