The recent tri-series match between India A and Sri Lanka A turned controversial as young Indian cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi lost his cool.

The incident occurred after Sri Lanka A's victory in a Super Over at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Monday.

Sooryavanshi was seen getting into a verbal spat with the opposing team, which later escalated into a physical confrontation.

This incident drew reactions from several prominent names, including legendary Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

Ashwin comments on the incident
Expert opinion

Commenting on the match, Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin said that India A players lost their cool.

"The no-ball call in the Super Over was debatable, and the way Sri Lanka delayed coming in to bat in the Super Over really irked the India A side," he wrote on X.

"The frustration shown by the Indian team was understandable, while what Sri Lanka did was play proper mind games."
