New Delhi . In the history of Hindi cinema, there have been many artists who made a special place in the hearts of the audience with their very first film. However, not everyone’s success lasts for long. The story of actor Rahul Roy is also similar. There was a time when filmmakers used to stand in queues to work with him and he had so much of films that he signed 47 films in a single day.

Recently Rahul Roy was seen in the TV show Laughter Chefs, where an interesting incident to his film career came to light. During the show, actor Karan Kundrra asked Rahul if he had signed 150 films in a day. To this Rahul smiled and replied that this figure is wrong. He told that he had signed not 150 but 47 films in a single day. Everyone present at the show was surprised to hear this.

Rahul Roy got the most recognition from the film Aashiqui. This was his first film and as soon as it was released it proved to be a huge hit across the country. Actress Anu Aggarwal was seen with him in the film. Due to its romantic story and memorable music, ‘Aashiqui’ made a special place in the hearts of the audience. The popularity of the film was so high that Rahul Roy was known as ‘Aashiqui Boy’ for a long time.

In an interview, Rahul Roy had told that ‘Aashiqui’ had a houseful run in theaters for about six months. The success of the film made him an overnight star and he was flooded with film offers. Producers and directors were eager to cast him in their films. During this period he signed 47 films.

However, signing such a large number of films proved difficult for him. Rahul later admitted that he did not have time for all the films. Under compulsion, he had to leave many projects and also had to return his advance amount to about 21 producers. This was a period of his career when popularity was at its peak, but due to lack of proper management he could not take full advantage of it.

Apart from films, Rahul Roy has also made his mark in the world of reality shows. He was the winner of the first season of Bigg Boss which aired in the year 2007. Even after winning the Bigg Boss trophy, his career could not get the same momentum as seen during the ‘Aashiqui’ era.

Rahul Roy worked in more than 28 films in his career, but most of his subsequent films did not achieve the expected success at the box office. Gradually his stardom diminished and he moved away from the film world.

In recent years, Rahul Roy has also been in the news on social media. Some time ago, he had to face trolling for making a reel video with a content creator. Responding to the criticism, Rahul had said that he is working honestly and is fulfilling his responsibilities with hard work. He also said that if people care about him so much then help him get better work. Rahul Roy’s story is a unique example of both success and struggle in Bollywood. While at one time he was among the most talked about stars of the industry, today his journey gives a message to the new generation of artists to maintain balance with success.
