Lucknow: Political activity regarding Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027 has already started intensifying. Meanwhile, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has increased its activism in state politics. Party leaders have claimed that a big change can be seen in the politics of UP in the coming elections.
AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan said in a recent statement that the party will contest the elections in Uttar Pradesh with full strength and the work of strengthening the organization at the grassroots level is going on at a fast pace.
‘Fasten your seat belt, the weather is about to change’ – Waris Pathan
Waris Pathan said that significant changes may be seen in the political circumstances of Uttar Pradesh in the coming times. “Fasten your seat belts, the weather is about to change,” he said in his statement. He further said that AIMIM will contest the 2027 assembly elections with full strength and the party aims to establish a strong political presence in the state. According to him, the party is continuously working on organization expansion and public relations campaign.
AIMIM leadership says that the process of expansion of the party is already underway in Uttar Pradesh. Waris Pathan said that party chief Asaduddin Owaisi is on a tour of the state and is holding public meetings in various areas. AIMIM leaders are claiming that the party is getting public support in rallies organized from Lucknow to Bahraich and Matera. The party says that it is trying to strengthen its political hold by raising people’s issues at the local level.
Government targeted in Owaisi’s public meetings
During his visit to Uttar Pradesh, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi targeted the state government on many issues. He especially raised questions on topics to livestock, agriculture and economic policies. Speaking at a public meeting, Owaisi said issues to cows and livestock are often presented separately in political debates, whereas in reality it is an important part of agriculture and rural economy.
He also said that there should be transparency and fact-based discussion in public policies and political statements, so that economic truths are not ignored.
Statements and political messages on economic issues
Owaisi also said in his speech that animal husbandry and agriculture sectors are the backbone of the economy of many states, and discussions on these should not be seen only from a political perspective. He claimed that there appears to be a gap between many of the government’s statements and policy realities, which requires clarity among the public.
In Uttar Pradesh, which is considered to be the largest political state of India, various parties have started making their strategies even before the 2027 assembly elections. AIMIM is also trying to expand its organizational base and increase its support base.
