Chhattisgarh:- There was chaos in village Kareli Badi of the district when a 2 to 3 year old girl of a family was drinking Frooti. It is being told that while the girl was consuming the beverage, a suspicious lizard-like insect, animal or fungus-like thing was found inside the packet. Seeing this, the family members got scared and immediately the girl was taken to the health center. According to the family members, Frooti was purchased from Devangan grocery shop located in the village. After opening the packet, the girl had also consumed some quantity of the beverage. The matter was later revealed when suspicious animals were seen inside the packet.

The girl’s health deteriorated, she was admitted to the hospital.
After the incident, the girl’s health started deteriorating, due to which the family immediately took her to Magarlod Health Centre. The doctors kept the girl under observation after first aid. According to the Health Department, the condition of the girl is normal at present and she is said to be out of danger. However, after the incident, a lot of concern and resentment was seen among the family members. Family members have raised serious questions on the quality and manufacturing process of the beverage.
Investigation handed over to Food Department

On receiving information about the case, the local police gathered preliminary information. Since the matter is to food items, it has been sent to the Food and Drug Administration Department for investigation. The concerned authorities are keeping the Frooti packet safe and starting the process of investigating it. Officials say that only after the investigation report comes, it will be clear whether the organism found in the packet reached it during the production process or was present in it due to some other reason.
Outrage among villagers, demand for action

After the incident, there is an atmosphere of discussion among the people in the village. The villagers have demanded strict action against the concerned company. He says that people trust branded products, but such incidents are a serious threat to the health of consumers. Local people have demanded that a thorough investigation of the production and quality control system of the concerned company should be done and strict action should be taken against the culprits, so that such incidents are not repeated in future.
