RP Singh- The case of alleged theft of money from the donation box of the grand Ram temple in Ram city Ayodhya has now turned into a big political and religious controversy. ‘Poster war’ has started on the streets of Ayodhya regarding this sensitive issue. After Samajwadi Party (SP) raised this issue vigorously, now Congress has also openly jumped into this controversy. The posters put up by Congress leaders at the main Pushparaj intersection of the city are currently a topic of heavy discussion in the politics of Ayodhya and the state. This latest poster war has been started by Sharad Shukla, State Vice President of Uttar Pradesh Youth Congress. Sharad Shukla has put up huge posters at Pushparaj Square, one of the busiest areas of Ayodhya. Through these posters, the Ram Mandir Trust and the local administration have been directly targeted. While on one hand there is a tussle between political parties regarding this issue, on the other hand an attempt is also being made to give a deep religious message to the public through these posters.
Warning to sinners from couplet of Skanda Purana
The most special thing about these posters put up by Congress is that instead of any political slogan, a verse (couplet) from the holy book of Sanatan Dharma ‘Skanda Purana’ has been mentioned in it. According to the message written in the poster, anyone who steals, usurps or misuses the land, property given to the temple or the money donated by the devotees is a participant in the great sin as per the scriptures. Such a person has to suffer the tortures of hell. Through this couplet, Congress has indirectly made a sharp attack on those people whose names are appearing in this alleged theft.
After SP, Congress took charge, excitement increased
This case of alleged theft to offerings and donations in Ram temple of Ayodhya has been gaining momentum for the last few days. Samajwadi Party was the first to raise questions on this issue and demanded a high level investigation. Now, with the entry of the country’s oldest political party, Congress, the political activity in Ayodhya has reached new heights. The opposition parties are making a complete strategy to corner the government and the temple management by linking this issue with the upcoming elections and public faith.
Investigation into the case continues, posters become a subject of curiosity in the city
At present, this alleged case to the donation box is being thoroughly investigated by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the local police administration. Officials say that the situation will become completely clear only after the investigation is completed. But even before the investigation was completed, these posters pasted on the walls and intersections of Ayodhya have become a cause of curiosity and heated debate among the local residents and devotees coming from outside. All eyes are on what new turn this ‘poster war’ will take in the politics of Uttar Pradesh in the coming days.
