After delivery, it takes about one and a half months for women to return to normal condition. During this period, eating sour fruits, lemon, pickle, tamarind chutney or other sour things can cause problems to the child. Apart from this, consumption of cold drinks, tea and coffee should also be avoided.

It is beneficial to lightly fry cumin and take half a spoon of it with water in a copper vessel after eating in the morning and evening. In Ayurveda, consumption of Shatavari and Vidarikand is also helpful in increasing the amount of milk.
