Brazil's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, expressed the need for his team to enhance their performance following a 1-1 draw against Morocco in their FIFA World Cup Group C debut on Saturday (Local Time). He described the five-time champions as 'a very imbalanced team' during a challenging first half at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The match saw Brazil having to equalize after Morocco's Ismael Saibari scored in the 21st minute, capitalizing on a quick counter-attack initiated by Brahim Diaz. Vinicius Jr brought Brazil level just 11 minutes later, skillfully cutting in from the left and curling a right-footed shot into the top corner, leaving the teams tied at halftime. Morocco made history by fielding a starting lineup entirely composed of players born outside the country, and they matched Brazil's intensity throughout the thrilling encounter, earning a well-deserved point against one of the tournament favorites.

"We did not play well: a few challenges, a very imbalanced team, we lost several balls, and I think we have to do better in that sense," Ancelotti remarked post-match.

After halftime, Brazil showed improvement following several substitutions, gaining more possession but still found it difficult to penetrate Morocco's solid defense. Both teams created opportunities in an open second half, with goalkeepers Bono and Alisson making vital saves to maintain the 1-1 scoreline despite a total of 27 shots taken.

Ancelotti acknowledged the team's better performance after the break but noted that there is still significant room for improvement as the tournament unfolds. "I am not disappointed by this result, and I'm not satisfied either," he stated.

He also hinted at potential changes in Brazil's lineup for upcoming matches, emphasizing that the team is still in a phase of development during the tournament. With Brazil's next Group C match against Haiti on the horizon, Ancelotti urged fans to remain patient and maintain perspective despite the initial dropped points. "You don't win a World Cup based on your first match," he concluded.
