Swamitva Yojana Gujarat: In the last 12 years, the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many big steps towards rural empowerment. In all these efforts, Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana has emerged as a big game changer. For decades, villagers in our country were troubled due to lack of accurate documents of residential properties. They were completely deprived of the legal rights and financial benefits of their own homes. Today, through this scheme, not only are the villagers getting their real legal rights, but in this entire campaign, Gujarat has also created a new history by becoming number 1 in the entire country.

Why is this achievement special?

This big achievement of the state is also very special because in the second phase of the scheme, Gujarat alone has a share of more than half i.e. more than 50 percent of all the property cards made across the country. Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat has presented an excellent role model to the entire country by giving unprecedented momentum to the Pradhan Mantri Swamvaat Yojana. So far, statutory property cards of more than 18.50 lakh rural properties have been prepared by the state government by accurate mapping of rural properties using state-of-the-art drone technology.

What do the figures say?

Gujarat, which will join the second phase of this scheme in the year 2021-22, has today reached the first position at the national level on the basis of its excellent management. If we look at the government data to this scheme, in this phase drone flights took place in 58,197 villages across the country and a total of 32,35,260 property cards were made. Of these, Gujarat alone has prepared the highest number of 18,50,614 cards in the country by flying drones in 14,900 villages and certifying 11,511 villages, which is a big record in itself.

Gujarat 2

This district remains the best

There has been excellent coordination between the Survey of India Department, Gujarat Revenue Department and Gujarat Panchayati Raj Department to make this entire mega campaign successful at the ground level. Drone survey and GIS based digital mapping has made the entire system of village planning transparent. In this entire process, at the district level, Mehsana district has been at the forefront by making 1,66,504 cards and Ahmedabad district has been at the forefront by making 1,53,125 cards.

Here also more than 1 lakh cards are ready

Apart from this, more than 1 lakh cards have been prepared in Kheda, Banaskantha and Anand districts also. With the issuance of cards after transparent verification, the land disputes and court cases that have been going on for generations have now almost completely ended.

Loan up to Rs 50 lakh available on property card

The scheme has transformed rural properties into a valuable financial asset. After getting legal recognition of properties, now common citizens of villages are easily availing loan facilities from banks by using their property cards. In Gujarat, big bank loans up to Rs 50 lakh have also been approved on the basis of this card.

New opportunities created in villages

This has created new opportunities for business, education and livelihood in the villages which has played a big role in economically empowering women and deprived sections. To take this scheme to the masses, more than 14,000 Gram Sabhas have been successfully organized across the state, which is completely realizing the vision of a digital and self-reliant rural India.
