Amelia Kerr's Remarkable WT20I Journey

The all-rounder made her debut for the national team as a teenager, and went on to become one of the most vital assets to the team. Before making her 100th appearance, the 25-year-old had amassed 1925 runs at a stellar average of 31.55 from 99 WT20Is, and a strike-rate of 118.68.

The right-handed batter, who has already registered 2 tons and 7 half-centuries in the format, has maintained a high standard of batting throughout her career, and her top score remains an unbeaten 105, highlighting her ability to take her team home.

She is not just a prolific batter, but also among the very best leg-spinners in women's cricket, making her one of the most complete players in the world.

Kerr Praises Competitive New Zealand Squad

"Yeah, I guess, I think our squad's been really competitive. All 15 players have put their hands up, and it's been nice that we're in that position and that we've been here for five weeks now, having played cricket in these conditions. So yeah, we've got our 11 today, and hopefully they can do the job."

New Zealand has been practicing in these English conditions for weeks before the tournament commenced, and Kerr is hoping this would work in their favor throughout the course of the competition.

The milestone arrived in an important stage of her career, making her the sixth player to reach this landmark. And with many years left in her bag, Kerr will look to make the occasion even more special, with a match-winning performance.
