IND vs AFG 1st ODI Playing 11: Due to bad weather, the toss of the first match of the ODI series between India and Afghanistan took place albeit a little late. In the toss held after the rain stopped in Dharamshala, Indian captain Shubman Gill won and decided to bowl first. At the same time, the overs were also reduced and the decision was taken to make the match 25-25 overs. With this, 2 players made their debut for Team India.

In this match, a very special moment came for two young players of the Indian cricket team. Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey, who performed brilliantly in domestic cricket, were handed the Indian cap. Both these players have made their debut in international cricket against Afghanistan. At the same time, another big change has been seen in the playing-11. In this match, KL Rahul was given the responsibility of batting at number-3 in place of veteran batsman Virat Kohli, who is not a part of this series due to injury.
Let us tell you, Gurnoor Brar is a tall fast bowler of Punjab. Six feet five inches tall, Brar is known for his speed, bounce and reverse swing. Gurnoor Brar made his List A debut for Punjab in 2021 and played first-class cricket the following year. He has taken 12 wickets in 9 List A matches. On the other hand, the IPL 2026 season was quite spectacular for Harsh Dubey. While playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he took 8 wickets in 8 matches and was quite impressive. Due to which he has got this big opportunity. He also has experience of 30 List A matches.
