Knews Desk- In the important meeting of INDIA alliance held on June 8 in Delhi, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi stressed on better coordination and unity among the allies. Prominent leaders of many opposition parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, RJD attended the meeting. However, the absence of some key allies also remained a topic of discussion.

According to sources, in his address, Rahul Gandhi called upon the opposition parties to unite and make a strategy against the BJP. He said that the strength of the alliance depends on mutual trust, communication and coordination. Rahul also talked about listening to the concerns of allies and taking them along.

During the meeting, leaders of many regional parties advised the Congress to adopt a more cooperative and coordinating attitude. Akhilesh Yadav and other leaders of Samajwadi Party stressed on accepting the role of regional parties and moving forward together. At the same time, the Left parties also raised their objections on some political issues, on which Rahul Gandhi gave clarification.

The upcoming political strategy, opposition unity and common issues at the national level were discussed in the meeting. Congress claimed that the alliance is strong and dialogue between various parties will continue. The presence of leaders of more than 20 parties in the meeting was considered a message of opposition unity.

Although some differences within the alliance also came to light during the meeting, the leaders expressed the need to resolve them through dialogue. Political analysts believe that maintaining unity will be the biggest challenge for the opposition parties in the coming times.
