New Delhi, June 12. On the occasion of World Child Labor Prohibition Day, Chief Ministers and Ministers of many states, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expressed concern over the problem of child labor and resolved to end it and ensure education, safety and a dignified childhood to every child. Through a post on social media platform X, he stressed on creating awareness in the society and collective efforts.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma wrote in X Post, “On the occasion of World Child Labor Prohibition Day, let us all take a pledge to build a child labor free society. Every child has the right to education, security and a better future. It is the common responsibility of all of us to promote awareness and collective efforts to eradicate the social evil like child labor.”
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “It is his right and our responsibility for every child to have a book in his hand, a dream in his eyes and a safe environment to live. On World Child Labor Prohibition Day, let us resolve to protect child rights and provide an educated and respectful environment to children.”
UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya wrote, “Where childhood is safe, the future will be prosperous. Children are the future of the nation. Their place is in schools, playgrounds and schools of values, not under the burden of labour. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to ensure that every child gets education, values and the opportunity to realize his dreams. For this, every section of the society will have to be aware of child labor and convey the importance of education to the deprived and needy families. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini wrote, “Child labor is a serious challenge of the society, which adversely impacts the dreams, education and childhood of children. It deprives them of their rights and burdens them with responsibilities at an early age. On the occasion of World Prohibition of Child Labor Day, let us all pledge to build a child labor free society and make collective efforts to ensure every child has the right to education, security and a bright future.”
Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth wrote, “On the occasion of World Child Labor Prohibition Day, let us all together pledge for a society where no child’s childhood is sacrificed for labour. Child labor is not only a legal crime but is also a major attack on human sensitivities. Let us fulfill the duty of being conscious citizens, oppose child labor around us and contribute to every child getting education, security and the right to live freely.”
Bihar government minister Vijay Kumar Sinha wrote, “On World Child Labor Prohibition Day, let us take a pledge that we will not allow any child around us to be forced to work as a labourer. Every child has the right to education, safety and a dignified childhood. Let us become aware and take a meaningful step towards making our family, society and nation free from child labour. Children should have books in their hands, not tools; their dreams should take flight, not compulsion.”
