Staying in sunlight for a long time causes deficiency of water and essential salts in the body, which causes the problem of dehydration. In this condition, the person may have mild fever, face turning red, pain in hands and feet and sweating may stop. If this problem persists, the body temperature may exceed 104 degrees (hyperthermia). In this condition, the functioning of the brain, kidney, heart and other organs can be affected, which can be life threatening. By taking special care of eating habits in summer, many seasonal diseases can be avoided. Let us know about prevention measures and eating habits-

Stay away from tea and coffee –
One should drink two glasses of lukewarm water on an empty stomach after waking up early in the morning. This will keep the stomach clean and there will be no problem throughout the day. After this, walk for at least 40-45 minutes so that you can remain active throughout the day.

Breakfast (9-10 am): Consume cold milk, thandai, fruit juice, sattu or buttermilk with cumin and mint. You can also take vegetable porridge or dry fruits or a seasonal fruit.

Lunch (between 12 and 2 pm): Choose vegetables that have high water content, like bottle gourd, tinda, pumpkin, and ridge gourd. Include tomatoes, cucumber, and onion in the salad. Also take cumin and mint buttermilk, ampana, curd or raita. Pulses are an excellent source of energy.

Evening (between 4 and 5 pm): Often people eat chips, biscuits, snacks etc. with evening tea or coffee, but in summer it is better to have coconut water, thandai, poppy seeds sherbet or fruit juice. This will keep the body fresh. Along with this, you can eat cucumber, cucumber and pomegranate mixed with sprouts. Office goers can have roasted gram and fruit salad.

Dinner (between 8 to 9 pm): Avoid heavy food at this time, as it can cause stomach problems. Eat light things like khichdi, upma, or porridge.
