New Delhi. After the West Bengal Assembly elections, the troubles of Trinamool Congress (TMC) are increasing continuously. One after another the leaders are leaving TMC. Now Rajya Sabha MP Prakash Chik Badaik has resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha. Earlier, Rajya Sabha MPs Sukhendu Shekhar Roy and Sushmita Dev had also resigned. After these three big resignations one after the other, the strength of Trinamool Congress in the Rajya Sabha has reduced significantly. At the same time, now the number of TMC MPs in the Upper House has reduced to 10.

It is being said that many senior TMC leaders may leave the party in the coming days. After the crushing defeat in the assembly elections, TMC’s troubles are continuously increasing. In a way, there is news of a break in TMC. There are speculations that three more TMC Rajya Sabha MPs may resign from their posts within the coming week. If these speculations prove to be true, then the graph of Mamata Banerjee’s party in Parliament will fall further.
In his resignation submitted to Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan, Prakash Chik Badaik said that he is resigning the membership of the House with immediate effect. In the letter he wrote, I hereby resign from the membership of Rajya Sabha, please accept it with immediate effect.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Chairman and the Secretariat for their support during his tenure. The letter further said, I express my heartfelt gratitude to Your Excellency, the Honorable Deputy Chairman and all the officials of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat who provided full help and cooperation to me during my tenure as a Rajya Sabha member.
