Ayushman Card: The Uttar Pradesh government is running a special campaign to facilitate the creation of Ayushman Cards for eligible individuals. This card entitles eligible families to free medical treatment worth up to ₹5 lakh annually.

Ayushman Card Registration: The Ayushman Bharat scheme is one of the country's largest health protection initiatives, providing eligible families with free medical treatment coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per year. The scheme aims to relieve poor and needy families of the financial burden associated with expensive medical treatments. With this in mind, the Uttar Pradesh government is conducting a special campaign to extend the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to as many people as possible.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced that a special campaign for issuing Ayushman Cards is underway from May 15 to August 14, 2026. During this period, eligible beneficiaries can easily get their Ayushman Cards made by visiting a nearby health camp. He has urged the public to avail themselves of the scheme's benefits and get their cards made in a timely manner.

Special benefits for the elderly

There is good news for the elderly as well. All senior citizens aged 70 years or older are eligible to get an Ayushman Card. They can apply by visiting a nearby health camp with the necessary documents. Once the Ayushman Card is issued, they will receive financial assistance for medical expenses and gain easier access to quality healthcare services.

Health camps to be organised in every village

To ensure the success of this campaign, the state government is organizing special health camps across various districts, blocks, and gram panchayats. Eligible individuals are being identified and registered at these camps, and the process of issuing Ayushman Cards is being completed on the spot. Health department officials have been instructed to ensure that the maximum number of people benefit from the scheme and are enrolled in it during the campaign.

Special appeal to the public

Brajesh Pathak stated that the government intends for the benefits of this scheme to reach every eligible individual. He appealed to the public to ensure that any eligible family member gets an Ayushman card made, as this would provide access to free medical treatment in times of need. He stated that this campaign would bring more people into the scheme and enable many families to benefit from better healthcare facilities.
