Apple announced iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, bringing a rebuilt Siri AI, faster apps, and improved parental controls. Unlike iOS 26, it supports iPhones back to iPhone 11. Siri AI, powered by Google Gemini, is limited to iPhone 15 Pro and later, while iPhone 17 Pro and Air get premium AI features. Public beta launches in July.
At its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2026), Apple officially unveiled iOS 27, introducing major Apple Intelligence upgrades, changes to Siri, parental controls enhancements, and improvements across core iPhone apps. The biggest headline? Unlike iOS 26 and contrary to earlier rumours, Apple is not dropping support for any older iPhones with iOS 27.
