Five years after his high-profile move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United for a reported fee of €85 million, Jadon Sancho has officially become a free agent.
On Wednesday, Manchester United confirmed that the 26-year-old winger is among the players set to leave the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Earlier, Sancho had returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season, which fueled ongoing speculation about a possible permanent return to Signal Iduna Park for a third stint with the Bundesliga side.
While it remains to be seen whether that move materialises, it is now confirmed that Sancho is unattached and available on a free transfer.
During his previous spell with Dortmund, the England international registered 53 goals and 57 assists in 158 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga club.
Most recently, Sancho spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Aston Villa, where he played a key role in their UEFA Europa League triumph.
