What Is Autism: Millions of children around the world are struggling with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is a neurodevelopmental condition that severely affects children. Many times parents are not able to identify autism in their child in the early stages.

It is sometimes difficult to identify autism initially, because it is a disease that occurs since childhood and its symptoms are somewhat similar since childhood. This is the reason why autism is often not identified in childhood and by the time it is identified, its symptoms become difficult to control.

role of family

Support of parents and family plays the biggest role in the development of the child. It is very important to spend more time with the child, talk to him, get involved in his activities and provide a positive environment. Also, parents themselves should be aware and in case of any doubt, they should not delay in seeking expert advice.

Autism And Mobile

A common question nowadays is whether watching TV, mobile or other screens is increasing autism in children. Doctors say that screen time is not a direct cause of autism. But too much screen time can have a negative impact on the development of children’s language and social skills. Due to this, children may talk less and find it difficult to connect with people, which can increase symptoms like autism.

How much screen time is safe for children?

Children should be kept away from mobile or TV screens for at least 5 years. Toddlers ages 0 to 5 spend as much time as possible outside playing, jumping, and interacting with others. Children below 2 years of age should not be allowed to use mobile or any screen. It is safe for children aged 2 to 5 years to use mobile phones for 1 hour a day.

Treatment of Autism

With the help of this therapy, changes in the patient’s behavior can be brought about with the help of communication, behavioral skills and speech.

medicines

There is usually no specific medicine to treat autism. However, there are some medicines available to treat problems arising due to autism, which should be used only after medical consultation. These medications provide relief from symptoms, but they alone cannot cure a person of autism. For this, along with medication, therapy, family support, it is also important to follow the doctor’s instructions.
