avoid smoking

  • Smoking is a major cause of snoring. Cigarette smoke passes through the throat and reaches the lungs, where it releases carbon particles. When these particles get stuck in the throat, the chances of snoring increase.

  • The worst effect of smoking is on the lungs. There are mesh like cells in the lungs, where smoke releases carbon. When these particles accumulate, it makes breathing difficult, causing throat infections and snoring.

  • To avoid this, quit smoking and if your weight is increasing, do regular exercise. Take a morning walk and practice Anulom Vilom Pranayam. Do breathing yoga like Anulom Vilom, Bhastrika and Kapalbhati regularly. These pranayams help in relieving throat problems and provide relief from snoring.
