Fisnik Asllani is reportedly open to joining Borussia Dortmund, while young midfielder Enzo Duarte is close to committing his long-term future to the club. Here’s the latest on Borussia Dortmund’s transfer developments and rumours.

Transfer Rumour: Fisnik Asllani Linked with Move to Borussia Dortmund

According to a report from Bild, 23-year-old forward Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim remains one of Dortmund’s offensive targets. The Kosovo international is being considered as a potential addition to strengthen Dortmund’s attacking options, particularly if changes occur in the squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Recent discussions have reportedly taken place between Asllani’s representatives and Borussia Dortmund, with the striker described as being “very open to the idea” of joining the club. Dortmund has reaffirmed its interest, though club officials have made it clear that formal steps will only be taken once current squad departures are confirmed.

The club’s decisions will likely depend on the futures of Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi. If both remain at Dortmund, a move for the Hoffenheim attacker would be improbable. However, should one of them leave, negotiations for Asllani could progress swiftly.

Asllani first came into prominence with his performances for SV Elversberg, before showcasing his ability at a higher level with Hoffenheim, which has drawn attention from several major clubs.

Reports suggest that the striker’s contract includes a release clause of €30 million for clubs that have participated in the UEFA Champions League in the past three seasons. Other interested teams would likely need to pay a fee of approximately €25 million.

However, Dortmund could face stiff competition for his signature, with RB Leipzig also reportedly interested in the player. This creates added pressure, especially since Dortmund’s transfer plans depend heavily on potential outgoing deals. Delays in player sales could allow other clubs to move faster.

Despite these challenges, Asllani remains a prominent name in Dortmund’s transfer discussions. One advantage for the club is that sporting director Ole Book is familiar with the player from their shared time at Elversberg and is considered a strong supporter of the move. If Dortmund gains financial flexibility through a major sale, the club could act decisively to bring Asllani on board.

Contract Extension Rumour: Enzo Duarte to Sign Long-Term Deal with Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund continues to solidify its long-term vision by securing the futures of its promising young players. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the club is working to extend the contract of 17-year-old midfielder Enzo Duarte.

Although Duarte’s current development contract runs until 2028, Dortmund is reportedly preparing to offer him his first professional deal, which would span four to five years. Negotiations have been ongoing for some time and have taken place largely under the radar.

Within the club, Duarte is seen as a player with great potential and is expected to push for a place in Niko Kovac’s first-team squad in the near future. Despite not yet making his competitive senior debut for Dortmund, the teenager has already represented Luxembourg at the senior level five times and recently earned his first start for the national team.

These developments reflect Borussia Dortmund’s continued strategy of balancing immediate squad reinforcements with long-term investments in youth talent, as the club looks ahead to the 2024–25 season.
