Bhopal: A very big and very happy news is coming for the government employees of Madhya Pradesh. The state government has given a big gift to more than one lakh contract officers and employees of the state and announced increase in their salaries. Official orders have also been issued by the government, after which there is a wave of happiness among the employees.

More salary will come in your pocket from this date

According to the order issued by the government, an annual increase of 4.46 percent has been implemented in the salaries of contractual employees. The most important thing is that the employees will get the benefit of increased salary only from April 1, 2026. On Monday, the Finance Department issued a notification giving its approval to this decision. Let us tell you that this time the increase is more than last year, because last year the salary of the employees was increased by 3.87 percent.

Know how this increase in salary was decided

Now this question must be arising in your mind that on what basis has this increase been decided? Actually, this new order of the Finance Department has been issued under the contract policy of General Administration Department dated 22 July 2023. The rule of this policy states that every year the remuneration of contractual employees will be changed on the basis of Consumer Price Index (CPI). According to this calculation, this rate has been fixed at 4.46 percent for the year 2026.

But… not everyone will get the benefit!

There is a hitch in this great news. At present, about 1.5 lakh contract officers and employees are working in different departments of Madhya Pradesh. But not all of them are going to get the benefit of this increased salary.

According to the report and information received from MPDD, there will be no increase in the salaries of the employees of those departments of the state which have not yet implemented the new contract policy of the year 2023. This is the reason that out of about 1.5 lakh employees of the state, only one lakh contract workers will be able to get the direct benefit of this order.

Now this new demand has started arising

After this decision, rumblings have started among the employees of the remaining departments also. Employees of the departments where the new policy is not implemented have now started raising the demand to implement it as soon as possible so that they can also get the benefit of this increased salary. Now it remains to be seen how long the government will give the good news to these remaining employees.
