Australia is scheduled to tour Bangladesh for a six-match white-ball series with three ODIs and three T20Is on cards, which is scheduled from June 9 to June 21, matches would be held at Dhaka and Chattogram.

 

Many key players of Australian squad have not been part of this tour, so the series has been creating hype in world of cricket. Notably, the main fast bowlers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood are missing from this tour while Glenn Maxwell is out of T20Is squad.

 

Josh Inglis would lead Australia for ODIs and Mitchell Marsh for T20Is following his recovery from injury.

 

'We were hopeful that Mitch Marsh would be available for the Bangladesh ODIs however, he is still returning to full fitness from an ankle injury," said selector Tony Dodemaide.

 

Adding on the statement he said: 'Mitch would be joining us in Dhaka and would commence preparations for the T20I Series.

The Australian selectors have selected numerous young prospects including Cooper Connolly, Todd Murphy and Liam Scott into ODI squad. Also, Travis Head would be absent for this whole tour as stated by selectors.

 

Dodemaide commented: "Travis was originally selected in the ODI and T20I legs of this Bangladesh tour but has subsequently been granted personal leave for both. We look forward to seeing him again for the top end Test Series against Bangladesh."
