Speculation linking Michael Olise with Real Madrid is becoming increasingly intense. Reports suggest that the Spanish giants are preparing a €150 million offer, but Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has now made the club’s position absolutely clear. The message from Munich leaves no room for doubt.

Following an exceptional season, Michael Olise has become one of the most sought-after talents in European football. It is therefore unsurprising that the FC Bayern Munich forward is being strongly associated with a potential transfer to Real Madrid.

In Spain, rumours have been swirling for days regarding a possible move to the Santiago Bernabéu, with several media outlets claiming that Olise tops the wishlist of Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and new head coach José Mourinho.

The situation became even more intriguing as Pérez, during his current re-election campaign, revealed that he intended to make a €150 million bid for a marquee player in the coming week. Although the Real Madrid president publicly denied that this target was Olise, numerous Spanish outlets continue to report that the Frenchman is indeed the primary focus of Madrid’s transfer ambitions.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich appear unfazed by the ongoing speculation.

At a fan club event on Sunday, Bayern president Herbert Hainer addressed the rumours publicly for the first time and delivered a clear statement: “Michael Olise is a player of FC Bayern Munich and holds a long-term contract with us. We are not a club that sells players,” said Hainer.

With this remark, Hainer reaffirmed the stance of Bayern’s management, who view Olise as a crucial part of the club’s long-term project.

Hainer’s follow-up comment left little doubt about Bayern’s position: “If Florentino Pérez wants to make us an offer — which has not yet happened — he can save himself the effort,” he asserted emphatically.

There could hardly be a clearer message directed towards Madrid.

The president’s comments align perfectly with the position Bayern’s leadership has consistently maintained for months. Figures such as Uli Hoeneß have repeatedly emphasised that Olise is not available for transfer under any circumstances.

The French forward is considered an irreplaceable key player, and therefore potential transfer fees are not being entertained. Hainer also indirectly referred to the oft-mentioned €150 million figure, asserting that even such a sizeable offer would not alter Bayern’s stance. According to him, Olise is “definitely not for sale,” regardless of how high the bid might be.

The 24-year-old, who is contracted with Bayern until 2029, has quickly become one of the club’s most prominent figures. With his goals, assists, and consistently impressive performances, he has established himself as one of the main pillars in Vincent Kompany’s squad.

It is therefore not surprising that Real Madrid are tracking a player of Olise’s calibre. However, Munich’s response makes it abundantly clear that Bayern are not open to negotiations at this stage.

The coming days will reveal whether Real Madrid proceed with an official offer despite Bayern’s firm stance, but all indications from Säbener Straße suggest that the decision has already been made — Michael Olise will continue to wear the Bayern Munich shirt for the foreseeable future.
