AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has expressed confidence that Ederson, who is set to join Manchester United, will make a strong impact in the Premier League.
Manchester United have reportedly finalised an agreement to sign the Atalanta midfielder for an initial transfer fee of approximately £35 million. The Brazilian star will become Michael Carrick’s first acquisition as permanent head coach, strengthening the team’s midfield options.
The 26-year-old has been one of the standout performers in Serie A for Atalanta and played a key role in their Europa League triumph in 2024. He is expected to arrive at Old Trafford as a replacement for fellow Brazilian Casemiro, who is leaving the club this summer after his contract expired.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Loftus-Cheek shared his thoughts on how Ederson might adapt to English football. He described the midfielder as “very physical, quick, and strong” and predicted he would thrive in the Premier League.
“I think he’ll do just fine. The times we’ve faced each other in Serie A, he’s always been very physical, quick, strong, and comfortable with the ball at his feet,” said the England international.
“He’ll do really well and he’s a very good signing for Manchester United.”
