A few members of Australia’s cricket team found themselves turned away from a golf course in Dhaka on their scheduled day off, but it wasn’t due to any security issues just a mix-up in communication, as reported by Bangladeshi media. The Aussie players had their hearts set on a round of golf, and they had even asked for permission from the golf course ahead of time.
However, a representative from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) mentioned that only a small group of players was initially expected to join in on the fun. Just before they were set to head out, more players decided they wanted to come along, which led to plans for a bigger vehicle and a larger group.
According to local reports, the players who weren’t on the original list for clearance were denied entry when they arrived at the course. This particular golf course is situated in a military-controlled area, where it’s essential to have prior authorization for all visitors. It seems that the necessary approvals weren’t secured for everyone in the traveling party, which caused the access hiccup.

Local media emphasized that this situation had nothing to do with security concerns; it was simply a case of poor communication and a lack of coordination among the involved parties.
In the meantime, Australia is gearing up to kick off their tour of Bangladesh with a three-match ODI series in Dhaka from June 9 to 14, followed by a three-match T20I series in Chattogram from June 17 to 21.
