New Delhi : From the last few days, the prices of many essential commodities have been increasing. Inflation has now hit the common man again. Domestic cooking gas (LPG) The price of a cylinder has been increased by Rs. These new rates are effective from today, June 7. After this hike, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi will go from ₹913 to ₹942.

This is the second rate hike in the last three months. Earlier on March 7, the price was increased by Rs 60 per cylinder. After that, the price has been increased again. The ongoing conflict in West Asia has affected global energy supplies, leading to a steady increase in fuel prices in the international market. Despite the Rs 60 price hike in March, oil marketing companies were making losses on domestic LPG sales. Before this hike, state-owned oil companies were losing approximately Rs 703 per domestic LPG cylinder. Hence, keeping in view the rising costs, the price hike was necessary. Accordingly, the price hike was said to have been done.

Meanwhile, in May, petrol and diesel prices together increased by Rs 7.50 per litre, while CNG became dearer by around Rs 6 per kg. Companies are estimated to be losing around Rs 11 per liter on petrol and Rs 33.6 per liter on diesel.

Commercial cylinder rates have already increased

Earlier, on June 1, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was hiked by Rs 42 in Delhi, while in Kolkata it was hiked by Rs 53.50. Additionally, the price of a 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder has been increased by ₹ 11. The cylinder will now be available at ₹ 821.50 in Delhi.

Looking at the upheaval going on at the global level, it has been seen that its effect has affected the whole world including India. In view of shortage of fuel and gas, provisions have been made to limit the consumption of LPG. In recent times, many gas consumers have received SMS notifications from their service providers.
