Last year he took Punjab to the finals and this year too he captained brilliantly, although we could not reach the qualifiers. He further said, “I have endorsed him for this role and have told the Indian selectors that if they give him a chance, I don’t think they will be disappointed. As I said, it is a huge achievement. It is a fantastic recognition of the hard work he has put in over a long time, and I am sure he will do a great job as captain of India,” he added.
