Singapore, ranked the world’s second-richest country by GDP per capita in 2025 behind Switzerland, has secured top spot among five most searched international destinations by Vietnamese families this summer, data from Dutch travel agency Booking.com shows.

Thailand’s Bangkok came in second, followed by Japan’s Tokyo, South Korea’s Seoul and France’s Paris for stays between June 1 and Aug. 31.

The agency attributed Singapore’s popularity among Vietnamese families to its low crime rate, family-friendly attractions and well-developed infrastructure.

According to data from the Singapore Tourism Board, Singapore welcomed approximately 4.4 million international visitor arrivals in the first quarter of the year, representing a 2.8% year-on-year growth.

Data from Booking.com also revealed Bangkok was the most searched international destination by couples and solo travelers thanks to its cheap travel costs and diverse culinary scene.
