The popularity of postpaid plans among mobile users is steadily rising. A major reason for this is the freedom from the hassle of frequent monthly recharges; the bill arrives on a fixed date, and services continue without interruption.
While postpaid customers previously enjoyed more premium features compared to prepaid users, the gap between the two has narrowed significantly. Nevertheless, many still prefer postpaid plans due to benefits like family plans, superior customer support, and additional digital services.
If you are planning to switch from prepaid to postpaid, it is worth looking at the most affordable postpaid plans offered by the three major telecom companies.
Jio's Cheapest Postpaid Plan
Reliance Jio offers an entry-level postpaid plan priced at ₹349. This plan includes 30GB of high-speed data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS per day.
Customers in areas with 5G network coverage also get the benefit of unlimited 5G data.
Additionally, the plan offers access to JioTV, a three-month subscription to JioHotstar Mobile, and 50GB of cloud storage on JioAICloud.
The company is also offering extended access to Google Gemini Pro.
Airtel's Entry-Level Postpaid Plan
Airtel's most affordable postpaid plan is priced at ₹449.
It includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day.
The company provides 4G and 5G data, although a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) applies after 300GB of data usage.
The standout feature of this plan is its digital benefits. Customers get 100GB of Google One cloud storage, a JioHotstar Mobile subscription, and access to Airtel Xstream Play Premium and Adobe Express Premium. Other included features are spam call alerts, fraud protection, and free Hello Tunes.
What is special about the Vodafone-Idea plan? Vodafone Idea’s Vi Max 451 plan is designed for heavy data users.
This plan offers 50GB of data and includes a data rollover facility in several circles.
In select regions, customers also enjoy the benefit of unlimited data.
Additionally, the plan provides unlimited calling, 3,000 SMS per month, and unlimited 5G data in areas with 5G network coverage.
Vi’s popular 'Night Binge' feature is also part of this plan; it allows for unlimited data usage between 12 AM and 6 AM. For entertainment, customers can choose a benefit from JioHotstar, Sony LIV, or Vi Movies & TV. Access to Vi Games is also included.
So, which plan is the best?
If you are looking for a postpaid plan at a low cost and have limited data requirements, Jio’s ₹349 plan could prove to be the most economical choice.
However, if you prioritize OTT subscriptions, cloud storage, and additional digital services, Airtel’s plan offers better value.
On the other hand, for heavy data users, Vi’s 'Night Binge' and data rollover features make it a strong contender. The right plan depends on your specific needs and usage patterns.
