Inthira Saisun, 25, said she dreamed about an elderly man telling her to buy a ticket bearing the number “173770” and told her to perform a merit-making act, a Buddhist practice involving charitable or religious deeds, if she won, according to Thai media outlet Thairath.
When a lottery vendor later stopped by the market where she worked, she checked all the available tickets and found two ending in “770.” She had little money and so was only able to buy one of them, Singaporean media outlet AsiaOne reported.
To her surprise, she won, burst into tears after learning about it, and said she never imagined she would hit the jackpot.

The windfall came as a relief since she had been struggling with debts to her vegetable business.
Videos shared by local news outlets showed the expectant mother celebrating with fellow vendors at the market. As she displayed the winning ticket, she became emotional and cried with joy.
Five months pregnant, Saisun credited her unborn child with bringing her good fortune. She said she planned to honor the elderly man from her dream by making a donation to a temple in her hometown of Doi Muser in Tak Province in northwestern Thailand.
Despite her newfound wealth, she intends to continue running her vegetable stall.
