A very big news is coming for the people facing the scorching heat and scorching sun in Uttar Pradesh. Suddenly the weather pattern in the state is going to change completely. The Meteorological Department has issued a serious warning of heavy rain and strong thunderstorm in many parts of the state tomorrow i.e. on June 6, 2026. The double effect of nature will be seen in the areas from Western UP to Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. While this sudden change is expected to provide great relief to the general public from the scorching heat that has been prevailing for the past several days, people have been advised to take extra precautions due to the strong winds. The administration has also instructed the electricity department and local municipal bodies to be on full alert to deal with any emergency.
Meteorological Department’s high alert in these 21 districts
According to the Meteorological Department, tomorrow the weather is expected to be worst in total 21 districts of the state. Major cities for which alert of heavy rain and storm has been issued include Meerut, Shahjankari, Aligarh, Agra and Mathura. Along with this, there may be torrential rains with severe thunder in Kanpur, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Mirzapur, Jalaun, Amethi, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Pratapgarh, Chandauli, Azamgarh, Sonbhadra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Deoria and Gorakhpur. Residents of all these districts have been advised to take shelter in permanent houses and safe places in case of bad weather and avoid standing under trees or electric poles.
Severe storm will blow at a speed of 65 km per hour
During this monsoon stir, the most dangerous thing is going to be the speed of the winds blowing here. Meteorologists estimate that along with the rain, there will be severe thunderstorms in these districts at a speed of 60 to 65 kilometers per hour. Due to such high speed winds, huge damage can be caused to kutcha houses, slums and big hoardings on the roads. There is a strong possibility of crops falling and tree branches breaking in rural areas. Apart from this, visibility on the roads may be reduced due to the strong storm, which will have a direct impact on the traffic system and drivers have been instructed to drive very slowly.
Mercury will fall in Lucknow, there will be relief from humidity
If we talk about Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow and its surrounding areas, here too the weather patterns will remain completely changeable. Due to strong dusty winds and sporadic showers, there will be a significant drop in the temperature here. The maximum temperature in Lucknow tomorrow is expected to be 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may be recorded around 29 degrees Celsius. With the mercury coming down from above 40 degrees recently, the people of Lucknow will get relief from the humidity and heat to a great extent. Overall, tomorrow is going to be a very turbulent day for the entire Uttar Pradesh in terms of weather, which includes relief as well as the threat of storm.
