The auction for the upcoming Maharaja T20 Trophy delivered a surprising headline when Indian star batter KL Rahul went unsold despite enjoying a stellar IPL 2026 season. The Karnataka-based T20 tournament is set to begin on June 20, but one of the state's biggest cricketing names will not be part of the competition.

Rahul’s absence from the list of sold players raised eyebrows across the cricketing community, especially considering the outstanding form he displayed during the recently concluded IPL season.
