Meenakshi Goyat: Meenakshi Goyat faces disappointment in Ulaanbaatar Ranking Series in Mongolia. In the repechage match of 53 kg weight category, she lost 1-3 to the host country’s favorite player Namuntsetseg Ochir, due to which she missed out on winning a medal.

Meenakshi Goyat had caused a huge upset by defeating three-time Olympian Vinesh Phogat 6-4 in the semi-finals of the Asian Games selection trials held at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi. This spectacular victory established her as a rising star in Indian women’s wrestling.
