Bifurcation of the Banaskantha-Border-Rajkot Range expedited

The Gujarat Home Department has taken a significant decision to bifurcate the Border Range to ensure more streamlined operations and effective coordination within the state's police administration. As part of this decision, a new 'Banaskantha Range' has been constituted, which will further strengthen police administration in the northern region of the state.

**Formation of the New Banaskantha Range and Inclusion of Patan District**

The newly formed Banaskantha Range comprises the Banaskantha district, the Vav-Tharad region, and the Patan district. Given the strategic importance and border-adjacent nature of these areas, a separate range has been created to ensure their smooth functioning. It is anticipated that this new arrangement will lead to the rapid resolution of law-and-order issues and enhance overall policing efficiency.

**Transfer of Morbi District to the Border Range**
In accordance with the Home Department's decision, the Morbi district has now been transferred to the Border Range. Following this modification to the previous structure, the Border Range now encompasses the East Kutch, West Kutch, and Morbi districts. Considering the geographical and administrative significance of these three districts, their operations will now be coordinated under a single range.

**New Arrangement for Rajkot Range**
Additionally, a new structure has been announced for the Rajkot Range. The Rajkot Range now includes the Rajkot Rural, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, and Surendranagar districts. These changes are expected to streamline police administration in the respective districts and foster integrated operations.
