Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has been compelled to sell his £3.25 million mansion at a reduced price after moving out of the property following complaints from neighbours. Although the England international could not secure his original asking price for the luxurious family home, he has managed to strike a deal that leaves him only slightly short of his expectations.
The four-bedroom luxury property, which features a private cinema, indoor swimming pool and five bathrooms, had been on the market for over six months. Initially listed at £3.25 million, Foden struggled to attract potential buyers at that price.
Located in Prestbury, Cheshire, the house was first listed for sale in April 2025. According to reports from the Daily Mail, the Manchester City star eventually decided to lower the price to around £2.9 million, which finally drew interest leading to an agreement by mid-November.
The property, marketed by estate agents Jackson-Stops, is now listed as “sold subject to contract.” Once the sale is finalised, Foden will be free of the modern residence equipped with a gym, bar, hot tub and expansive gardens complete with a swing set and trampoline.
Set on a private road with electric security gates, the mansion includes a ground-floor leisure suite. It served Foden well over the years, with the 25-year-old settling in next to his former City teammate Kyle Walker and television antiques expert David Dickinson. However, the property also brought unwanted attention due to a few noise-related incidents.
Foden, along with his partner Rebecca Cooke and their three children, has already relocated to a quieter countryside estate. Despite the move, he remains conveniently close to Manchester City’s training facilities at the Etihad Campus.
Foden and his long-time partner Cooke, who are reportedly engaged after she was spotted wearing a diamond ring following a romantic New Year getaway to Paris, continue to build a life together away from their former neighbourhood.
A neighbour shared with the Mail, “They’re a lovely family, and Phil and Rebecca are clearly devoted parents. It’s a pity they’ve moved because it was nice to see a Premier League footballer living among us. I remember seeing them take Ronnie out on his new Christmas bike — they looked like any young family enjoying themselves. There were a couple of loud parties, but nothing like the disturbances caused by Walker and his wife’s arguments.”
One of those parties, hosted in August 2024, prompted a noise complaint when locals claimed the music was “louder than Glastonbury” and that it felt “like being in a nightclub.” Cheshire Police later confirmed they had received the complaint but did not send officers to the property. Reports suggested that Foden and Cooke were hosting a children’s party that began around 4 p.m. and continued until nearly midnight, featuring loud music, children playing, and dogs barking.
Earlier in March 2022, Foden had also drawn attention for another noise complaint when he held a Mother’s Day-themed “music festival” at the same residence.
For two years, Foden lived next to England teammate Kyle Walker and Walker’s wife Annie Kilner, during which time the couple’s well-documented marital issues made headlines. Walker, who has two children with former Love Island star Lauryn Goodman, now plays for Burnley.
Having moved on, Foden has begun a new chapter — selling one of his properties and purchasing another. Interestingly, the home he had bought for his parents in the same village has also been put up for sale.
Foden and Cooke are now raising their son Ronnie, daughter True, and youngest child Phil Jr., who was born during Euro 2024, in their new countryside home. The Manchester City star is looking ahead to representing England again under Thomas Tuchel’s management as the Three Lions prepare for the 2026 World Cup.
