The war between the two sides has been going on for more than three months. In between, Iran and America have held a peace meeting, but the top leaders of the two countries have never sat in a face-to-face meeting. American President Donald Trump indicated that this rare event is about to happen. While talking to the reporters at the White House, he said that he can meet the supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, very soon. The peace treaty will be discussed. He is also confident that America will win the war with Iran.
In response to reporters’ questions, Trump said, “Either way, we’re winning.” Whether it is with the help of the army or by accounting. There is a dispute between the two countries. The US has been demanding since before the start of the war that Iran must completely stop its nuclear activities. Also, the stockpile of nuclear material must be completely destroyed. However, Tehran questioned the imposition of such conditions on a sovereign country.
On the other hand, Mojtaba Khamenei’s country has stated that the US military aggression against Iran must stop before any agreement. Besides, the war-torn country has also demanded huge compensation. Washington has not yet given any indication of accepting Iran’s terms. Instead, the two sides are attacking each other intermittently. In this situation, a face-to-face meeting between Mojtaba Khamenei and Donald Trump can solve all the complications. Although in that case both the countries have to be somewhat flexible. The US President said about meeting Mojtaba on this day, “It is possible for me to meet him.” I have no objection to that.”
Incidentally, on February 28, the joint forces of America and Israel attacked Iran. It resulted in the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran at the time. Iran also began retaliating against US bases in West Asia. West Asia is hot since then. Because of this, the Strait of Hormuz is blocked. This has led to energy shortages in large parts of the world. Price hike has also hit India. The only way to end this crisis is to stop the war. It remains to be seen whether Trump-Mojtaba will be proactive in that regard.
