Earthquake Near Nevada-Utah Border

Early Thursday morning, a magnitude 3.1 earthquake was felt by residents in Las Vegas, Nevada, as reported by the US Geological Survey (USGS). The seismic event took place at 2:18 AM local time, with its epicenter located approximately 32 kilometers (20 miles) west of Veyo, Utah. The quake struck at a depth of around 2.9 kilometers.


This tremor was situated in a largely uninhabited region northeast of Las Vegas. Witnesses reported experiencing light shaking, but fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
