The speculation about Joe Rogan's candidacy stems from a report by an entertainment source, suggesting that CBS executives are considering him as a potential successor. Longtime correspondent Scott Pelley was reportedly let go this week after a heated exchange with the newly appointed executive producer, Nick Bilton, during a staff meeting. Pelley later accused CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss of misleading the staff regarding management's attempts to resolve ongoing tensions.
