The Indian Embassy in Kuwait said in a post on social media late on Wednesday night that Parmita Tripathi visited Kuwait’s central mortuary, where the body of the Indian citizen is kept.
The ambassador also met with Brigadier Abdulrahim Al-Awadhi, General Manager of the Criminal Evidence Department, and expressed gratitude for the “prompt and sensitive assistance” provided by the Kuwaiti authorities. “We are in touch with the family of the deceased Indian national and are coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities to quickly return the body to India,” the embassy said.
